Regardless by MaxGabbyMeow Regardless by MaxGabbyMeow
This was something I made for a friend's mom's presentation about LGBT+. She wanted some insight on being aro or ace or even being trans, and she wanted artwork from me, especially art on the subject. Unfortunately, my art can be more venting and less grateful, so I had little to show to represent any positive feelings I had about being in those communities. Thus, I made this the night before her lecture to maybe raise some hearts in people like me. People who are always told they might change even though what they are right now makes so much sense. Overall, I don't want to spend my life hoping that maybe one day I'll learn how to see someone romantically or sexually... I want to spend my life learning about all the other ways I can be happy without love or sex. I want to learn how I can enhance myself as a really feminine boy instead of hoping that one day this will just be a phase or something. I hope that others have the same drive to accept themselves and all of their 'inconveniences' when existing as someone who isn't the 'norm'. I hope everyone can learn to live with who they are instead of hoping they'll conform to someone they're not.

Take care of yourself, okay?

Very nicely done. :) Very true. I hate when people say that stuff "Your to young" and shiz.

Thank you! Others don't always understand, and sometimes, they say things that can be unintentionally hurtful to those who are trying to get a handle on who they are. Sure, what you are might be inconvenient to you or everyone around you, but it's not the inconveniences that need to be doted on. It's the acceptance of who you are despite any positive or negative effects of it all.

I guess, I just really get that a lot. I know I'm aromantic, and I also know that that's subject to change years from now. However, as of now, it makes more sense than anything in the whole world, and it puts my entire life in coherent perspective. I can't imagine ever suddenly NOT being aromantic, and while I really wish I wasn't aro, I'm willing to accept it and cope with it. Others are still hoping i'll change and are very set in thinking that I'm too young to understand the depth of who I am. In reality, those who say that aren't willing enough to explore the depth of who I am at all, so I can't take what they say to heart. I don't hate them for it, but I don't want to let them drag me down either.

I mean I understand while people say that. But what is exactly "to young" Hell by time I find out who I am by then i'll be dead. I guess it's just kinda upsetting.

Yeah... I don't even realyl understand 'you're too young'. Even if something someone identifies could potentially BE a phase, it could also potentially be who they are and grow into being, so I don't see why anyone should doubt who someone says they are. If a born male says he's a female in middle school, people will tell him it'll pass, but people should support him even if they change their mind a month later and say they're a guy again. It's all a process of supporting people who are trying to find themselves, and we should never doubt anyone based on age who they are...

Aww, thank you, kohai~! I'm glad you felt inspired! You should really be the person you feel you are, you know? It's important to you and those around you in the process of getting to know who you are.

Yes, you're absolutely correct, senpai ;w;
Even if they don't like what I am. :P But after all, you can't stay your entire life as somebody else, right? :la:
This is a really encouraging piece, and I can't thank you enough for this, honestly. I needed a little motivation anyway :3
